IST Management constantly receives positive feedback on our empowered employees! Every month we send out a congratulations letter and Starbucks gift cards to the employee receiving the most significant and most positive comment letter.
Our February 2021 Winner:
Congratulations go out to Robert Ruenzel at Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff for receiving the winning comment letter for February. The client responsible for the winning letter, Mark Biddlestone, will also receive a $20 Starbucks gift card. Here is the winning letter:
“I know from time to time, you reach out to me to see how your team is performing for us across all Benesch locations. And whereas we run into bumps once in a while, almost always, the reports are good. That said, there are times when performance is such that it should be brought to your attention sooner than later. Our recent office move within the city of San Francisco is an example and is the topic of this memo.
The San Francisco move was a desperate situation (for me) where I was required to pull something off in the most challenging of circumstances. Moving an office full of lawyers is no easy task in “normal” times. However, doing it in a pandemic during lock-down with travel restrictions makes it impossible; impossible, that is, if you don’t have IST in your arsenal. Once again, members of your team made the difference. In particular, Robbie Ruenzel stepped up and did what I couldn’t do over 2000 miles away. He worked with me through the myriad of details required to pull this off. He was consistently professional and responsive, often stepping into a full manager’s role in coordinating the trades: plumbers, electricians, copy equipment movers, furniture movers, and decommissioning crews. He also had to coordinate the exacting details required as we worked with each of the individual buildings involved, their management teams, and their detailed protocols. In addition, he worked seamlessly with our IT team and its related vendors, as well as our own lawyers scheduling and assisting each as they packed their belongings. You know that scheduling and coordinating lawyers are like “herding cats. ” That by itself can be extremely challenging. Nonetheless, Robbie came through the packing and shipping of some items to their personal homes; other items had to be packed, inventoried, and sent to storage; and yet other remaining items went to our new location. If that wasn’t enough, Robbie then had to single-handedly set up the entire office at our new location.
In short, you should know that Robbie did an outstanding job. And when things didn’t go as planned (including his $100+ parking ticket), he kept me informed and moved quickly without grumbling to execute a solution. He worked all kinds of unpredictable and long hours as well as varied days of the week – including his birthday weekend – all without complaint. Overall, he ran this project as if it was his own and, in the end, did an outstanding job. Here again, is an example of one of your personnel stepping well outside of their typical job duties and doing whatever is required – and more – to take care of your customers all with excellence, for which I think you would be very proud.
I couldn’t do this without you guys! Thank you!!”
