“There aren’t a lot of people in the world who know court reporting. Court Reporting is not a product we are selling, we sell a service that results in the product at the end.”
Connie Snow, the National Director of Operations of Court Reporting at IST Management, overseeing the day to day operations of our court reporting division and what an amazing job Connie has done! Her role includes handling client’s requests, negotiating rates, securing resources such as court reporters, videographers, and interpreters. Along with that, Connie also supports the sales staff with all they need to sell court reporting to clients. Connie has taken the Court Reporting division of IST Management and created an incredible service for clients everywhere.
Early on, Connie received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies with the belief that she would be a paralegal. While, finishing her degree she was working as a paid intern at Esquire Deposition Solutions. After, graduating the housing market collapsed making it challenging for her to find work as a paralegal. However, Connie’s career at Esquire had begun to take off, and it was then that Connie recognized that her career was in court reporting.
Throughout her career, Connie is most proud of her work for the company Veritext. By helping open their Atlanta division from scratch and growing it to 4 million dollars in revenue, Connie knew the impact she had on growing a business and loved the feeling her accomplishments gave her. In their 4th year, they were able to acquire Tiffany Alley, which gave them a solid presence in Georgia. This is why IST Management reached out to Connie last year when it wanted to open its own court reporting division.
IST Management is still new for Connie and she believes she has gained new experiences by meeting new people. Being able to start a new division again and not trying to fix a broken company, is what really motivated and excited Connie about taking this position at IST. Instead, she walked into a brand new division and got the ball rolling. “You have to be strategic; you have to be innovative in order to do what we do, because there are a lot of moving parts in the court reporting industry. You have to work with the clients to coordinate the witnesses, the exhibits, the court reporters, and the videographers. You have to think outside of the box a lot of times. If there is a court reporter needed, as an example, in Grand Junction, CO, which is at the top of the mountain and in a remote location, you have to put on your thinking cap to solve the problem. “I like those challenges”. Connie says.
Connie helps IST’s clients meet their business objectives and with twelve years in this industry, not just locally but nationally, she is able to build solid relationships with people all over the country who can be trusted to do the job right. Connie believes that though IST Management is offering the same products and services that are part of the industry standard, it is our exceptional client service and our commitment to excellence that sets us apart, not necessarily our services.”
IST Management has the opportunity to engage with some of the biggest litigation cases because IST has already been in those firms, actively selling other services and having already handled some large cases that brought in revenue. Since, Connie has rapidly established herself throughout the country, IST Management has been thrilled with her work. Growing the Court Reporting division has been a successful endeavor. We are looking forward to the hard work and future years to come with Connie Snow, National Director of Operations of Court Reporting by our side!
