The proprietary IST Certified Mail application provides our employees and customers a valuable tool that digitally manages and tracks all aspects of their outgoing USPS certified mail.
The software helps us out in so many ways here at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLC in Atlanta. Before a piece of certified mail is sent to the post office, we are able to capture information on all outgoing certified mail pieces handled in our IST mailroom. We are able to scan the barrel stamp into MS/PT attaching it to the correct Certified tracking number. With this feature in place, we are able to tell if we are missing an outgoing barrel stamp or and domestic return receipt card.
Once the items have been returned from the postal service and scanned in, the client will receive an email notifying them and also capturing an image for their file. Upon request, an electronic verification that an article was delivered or that a delivery attempt was made can be sent.
This system helps us track all out-going, certified mail even if it’s a few months older. With this system, we are able to tell the client the cost of a letter or packages that went out for them on a particular day and if there was any billing issues. We are also able to track how many pieces of certified mail we send out on a daily bases. This system has helped us out numerous times when a client couldn’t recall if something had been sent.
“The IST Certified Mail software helps us out in so many ways.”
Unlike our competition, who use several 3rd party software systems to support their various service offerings, IST has created its own all-inclusive software system, IST Suite, with our robust end-user database at the center. The end-user database communicates with all service modules of IST Suite, no matter the combination of services IST is performing. If a change is made in one service area, that change is instantly replicated across all system platforms.
The end-user database also tracks and consolidates reporting on all IST activity and provides this information in real-time via the web or in clear, easy to follow printed reports.
